Whenyou start the game it will automatically have it on the numeric keys for up, down, left, and right. Most people will change it to the arrow keys. Hold down S as you turn to strafe left or right. Now th advanced controls are using the arrow keys and mouse to move your characters face, as well as the elevation of his/her line of sight. Move the mouse forward to look up and move the mouse down to look down. Pressing the right hand-side of the mouse will make your character run while moving. To crouch or avoid exposure press end. Press 0 on the keypad to manipulate your enviroments(open doors, climb walls, ladders, mount obstacles, and other such obstacles tat stand in your way of defeat or victory.) Jumping is not a movement in thisgame because you have no controll in the air, Team Rainbow tries to stay away from such act, all missions will not require jumping. The Obstacle Course To start a practice of your movements try te obstacle course, this contains no kind of live action fire or even nonlive firing actions, but the game still does require you to ake a gun or two. When you start the training you start with Rainbow Member Ding Chavez. Press F1 to toggle between first and third person views. For some of this exercise you will need third person view. The course starts out with a maze and then you come to a short flight of stairs. Climb up and walk off of them and then walk to the end to fall back to the groung, don't worry they are short pair so they will not hurt you when you hit the ground. Next you come to a pair of logs: while holding down the right mouse button you start to run and you will clear the logs easily, but a fter that you have a short and medium sized wall to clear. Come close to them and press the numeric keypad number 0, you should clear them easily. Now their is a water hazard in front of you, first try using the third person view to negoitate the edges, or you can use first person, but if you happen to fall off then just go to either side and press 0 to climb out. Your final obstacle is to climbing a platform. Move close to the cargo and press 0 to climb a ladder. Pres forward as if you were moving forward and you will start to go up, its the same for going down ecept you press the arrow key down. Hold down the right hand mouse button to move faster. At the top move across the top to the other side of the ladder and press 0 to climb down again. Congratlulations, you have completed theobstacle course, now its time to learn about your best-friend, your gun and other weapons. Firearms: Now there is the shootng range where you can practice with your gun shooting at targets, or using grenades or flashbangs. Like the obstacle this is a non-live action drill, its just shooting and becoming fond of your best-friend. Now teir is additonal practice where there are teroists and it is a live-fire action drill, you can get killed. It can be a single player drill or a team drill.
