System Bugs and Cheats

No need for Ore Silos - When you start constructing a building or unit, the
ore stored in your refineries are converted cash. Then, when you cancel the
construction, the money is returned as cash, but not converted back to ore. So
you can have unlimited amount of money, but not ore.

Find out where the enemy subs are located- Just select a gunboat or a
destroyer, and move your cursor on to the radar map. Slowly move across the
radar map with the cursor, and when the cursor changes to the red attack
cursor, there is a submarine there.

Grenadiers can have unlimited range - First, tell a grenadier to shoot the
cell directly in front of him, by holding down the control key. Then, when he
takes the grenade out to throw it, right when he goes into the wind-up, click
anywhere else in the screen, and if you timed it right, the grenade will land
there.

Detect your Enemy Spies - Just look around your map, and if you see a rifle
infantry with the same characteristics as yours moving somewhere didn't tell
him to, select him and see if you can tell him where to move. If he moves on
his own and you can't control him, then your opponent is definitely sending
spies at you.

Move anywhere, but still fire still at your target - While you are attacking
your target and want to move somewhere, but still attack the target, hold down
the Q key and move where you want to. You will move to that location, but
still fire at your target, until you get too far from the target.

Detect Enemy Mines - I have found out that your mine layers cannot run over
enemy mines. Nor do Tanks run over Anti-Personnel mines, and vice-versa. So
then if you see your mine layer not going over a certain area, even though you
tell it to, there is an enemy mine waiting there.

Basic Strategies

Keep you construction yard well guarded. You can't build and rebuild ANYTHING
if you lose it. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

Build your important structures inside the middle of your base. This is to
make it hard for the enemy to attack it.

Make sure you build concrete walls around important structures, such as your
Construction yard, Ore Refinery, Naval Facility, or War Factory. This is so no
spy, engineer, or thief can enter it.

Build air and ground defenses around and inside your base.

Build lots of anti-infantry defenses against the computer, They always attack
with infantry.

Build anti-aircraft and anti-vehicle defenses against (fairly smart) people.

Watch your ore trucks VERY IMPORTANT. If you lose your only truck, you're DEAD
MEAT.

OUR GREAT TIPS, TACTICS, AND STRATEGIES

1. A Good Defense

Conditions: Great for both multiplayer and against the computer

Build four rocket troopers and one medic and make them a team. Move them in
front of you base and build a concrete wall around them. This tactic may also
be done with rifle-infantry and/or Grenadiers

2. Bring the Computer into a TRAP

Conditions: Preferably against the Computer; Skirmish

Since the computer loves going for your important centers, first deploy about
5 Destroyers in a patch of water, and on a separate island deploy a MCV and
scatter Rocket men an medics all around it. The computer will try to get your
Construction Yard, but will get knocked out by the Destroyers or Rocket men(it
may attack the rocket men, but as long as they don't have any naval units it
won't attack the destroyers).

3. Surprise your enemy when they think they've won

Conditions: Multiplayer

Have a transport with a MCV, an Ore Truck and some units such as Mammoth Tanks
or Medium Tanks in it and put it in a place where you enemy won't even think
of. Then when you think your are losing, unload the transport and build your
base. TRY TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 2,000 CREDITS LEFT

4. Great way to have both Allies and Soviet Weapons/Structures

Conditions: Multiplayer games with more then 2 players

In multiplayer games of more than 2 players, ally with one of the players who
is not on the same side (Allies or Soviet) as you. When you have enough
resources, build an MCV for each other and set it up at the other person's
side. Then, break the alliance with him for a second and use four engineers to
take over his construction yard. Then ally again. That way, you will get full
construction options of both the Allies and Soviet buildings/units. MAKE SURE
YOUR ALLY KNOWS WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

5. Protect your Tesla Coils

Conditions: Soviet

Since Tesla coils have low armor and die fast there is often little time to
repair them, so keep one engineer near them, when they are practically dead,
put the engineer in to fully repair them.

6. Where to Nuke a Structure

Conditions: Any Condition with nuking capabilities

Do not directly Nuke a structure, instead try aiming and Nuking 2 or 3 spaces
near it. The Atom Bomb seems to direct most of its force around the target.

7. Demolish Mines

Conditions: Any Condition

If you suspect a mine field use CTRL + Fire button to fire upon suspected
locations. Remember that you can never be too careful. Conditions:Amphibious
Landing, any mission type, or multiplayer type mission.

8.OVERCROWDING

Conditions: Any Condition

Never try something like a 10 transport landing, with each transport filled
with APC's that are filled with tanya's, main reason, you won't be able to
unload fast enough and 5 of your transports would be dead by the time you
finished with the first five. Also Tanya'a(if you use them)won't fire unless
you tell them to.

9. HOLD OUT or WATER PILLBOX

Conditions:Multiplayer, Long Bridges, Soviet enemies, you are part of the
Allies group

Try this find a long bridge and totally destroy all of it but a fairly small
piece(large enough for 10 men, 5 tanks). Load up one transport full of medium
tanks and another with a 2 APC's, each filled with 4 rocket troops and one
medic. Take the transport with the men inside and unload the APC's onto the
bridge, have them unload there men and get onto the transport again. Now
unload the tanks onto the broken bridge, make them line the sides so that no
other transport can unload its men there. Put the rocket men in the middle and
you can hold out there for a long time.

10. SAFE SHORES

Conditions:anyone, preferably an island

here is a method to avoid an amphibious landing on your shores(if you don't
already know). Just find your the beaches on your island or land that
transports can land on and make a whole bunch of your cheapest vehicles. Line
them side by side(as close as you can get them together) along the shore as
close to the water as your vehicles can go, and have them sit there. When a
transport come, it opens up, but there is no room for is men to get out, and
it will sit there and get pummeled to death. BE CAREFUL, IF YOUR ENEMY HAS
AIRCRAFT, HAVE SOME EXTRA VEHICLES BEHIND THEM, READY TO MOVE UP, BECAUSE YOUR
ENEMY MAY DESTROY SOME MEN WITH HIS AIRCRAFT AND THEN STAGE AN AMPHIBIOUS
ATTACK BEFORE REINFORCEMENT TANKS CAN ARRIVE.

11. CHEAP MOBILE GAPS

Conditions:lots of excess power, Allies

If you have lots of power but little cash and you want to have gap cover for
your mobile attack force, you should take a look at this.Since mobile gaps
cost more then regular gaps just start building a line of gaps(non-mobile)with
your force under there cover. They cost less and they cover more area(your can
move a larger force this way). You may be afraid of your gaps getting
destroyed by enemies because you if you don't build defenses, but you have a
defense, your whole attack force!!
                               
12. DOUBLE VISION

Conditions:anyone, anywhere First build a war factory and just before you
finish it, put it on hold. Now build your attack force, and a mobile con.
yard. Move the whole group to the base and start the attack, leave your attack
force alone(put them in guard mode "G") and set up your con. yard, then place
your war factory(make it primary) next to it, and if you can some
barracks(make it primary). Sell your con. yard to get men and assign them to
fight also. In the mean time start building tanks or men. Now the enemy must
decide to either leave the attack force alone(to do what they want) and start
attacking the war factory and barracks(which are making men) or fight the
attack force and while you keep making men so that they have a hard time
winning.BE SURE YOU HAVE LOTS OF MONEY BEFORE TRYING THIS.

13. THE HEALING HELIPAD

Conditions:AfterMath(add on), lots of mechanics so there is no need for
Service Depots

In order to get access to everything, you will eventually have to build a
service depot. But with mechanics you have no use of. Then once you've used up
all your helipad and they're full, just buy an extra apache and use the
service depot as a helipad.

14. SELL VEHICLES

Conditions:service depot

Need cash? Sold all your useless building but you still need to sell more
stuff? Try This. Put a vehicle on the service depot and then click on it once,
with the regular cursor, and then click on it with the dollar sign, be sure to
click on the vehicle and not the depot. Now you sold the truck.

In Red Alert, if you are soviets, put the game at the slowest speed. Now
select a grenadier and force fire him to throw a grenade at the ground. When
he is about to throw the grenade, quickly click the cursor any where while
still holding force fire and it will throw the grenade no matter where you
are.

Conditions: you are on an island map in skirmish mode.

If your computer opponent is on his own island do this: get a bunch of
cruisers and a transport with 1 cheap infantry troop on it and go up to his
coast. Station the Cruisers along the coast and unload the transport. All of
the computers men will rush your infantry troop, but your cruisers will wreak
havoc on them! Overall it is 1 man for a score of tanks!

Build a Ore Refinery, place it. Make another one but don't place it yet. Be
sure to have room next to the 1st refinery first. Next sell the refinery, then
quickly plce the other refinery next to where the 1st one was, soon, money
will roll in, until you can't get anymore! and no silos needed.
