Hint: Do not attempt to root out a Fryhtan lair without a fair number of siege engines backing up your troops. Surround the lair with engines and then send in a crack squad of troops to roust the Fryhtans. Hint: Hire as many mercs as early on as possible (without dropping below 1,000 gold), as they not only will make your structures more effective, they will also boost your population during the crucial early phase of the game.
