If you cripple their legs, they will never get close enough to you to do any damage. Sometimes you may be abl f6f e to knock your opponent on the ground. Take advantage of this opportunity and go for an aimed shot before they get up. There will be a high bonus on your chance-to-hit. When using burst-mode weapons or explosive weapons (grenades, rocket launchers, etc.) aim for groups of enemies. You can usually cause damage to several of them at once. Many of the people you kill will have stimpaks and ammo on their bodies. Always loot the bodies and you will have a better chance of surviving the next fight.
